🌟 Empowering Women | Resilience Conference 2024

Hosted by the Nevis Area Women’s Club 📍 September 13, Walker, MN Attendance: Over 300 participants, including youth, Indigenous women, and scholarship recipients

🌱 A Celebration of Growth and Inclusion

The 2024 Empowering Women | Resilience Conference marked a transformative moment in our mission to foster resilience, empower women, and build inclusive community connections. With expanded outreach and deeper engagement, this year’s event reflected our commitment to accessibility, diversity, and personal growth.

📈 Key Milestones

  • 🎓 Scholarships Empower Accessibility Over one-third of attendees received scholarships, removing financial barriers and ensuring broad participation.

  • 👧 Youth Engagement on the Rise Youth attendance grew from 20 in 2023 to 30 in 2024, strengthening intergenerational dialogue and leadership.

  • 🪶 Indigenous Representation Attendance by Indigenous women increased to over 66—up from 40–50 in previous years—highlighting cultural inclusivity and outreach success.

  • 💰 Expanded Investment A $10,000 increase in funding allowed for enhanced programming, a welcoming venue, and richer networking opportunities.

The conference featured powerful sessions from:

🌟 Purpose & Vision

The 2022 Empowering Women to Lead Conference brought together nearly 300 women from across rural Minnesota for a day of inspiration, connection, and growth. Hosted in partnership with regional sponsors, the event focused on advancing leadership and personal development for women in rural communities.
